St Mark's CE Primary School

Our Christian Values & Vision

Our Christian Values

At St Mark’s CE Primary School our vision is expressed through deeply rooted in Christian values. Our values underpin all that we do and are reflected in the daily life of the school and our relationships with others:

Joy, Courage, Endeavour, Belonging, Love

We are committed to developing and supporting Christian values in our children, nurturing their moral compass and character. God’s love, guidance and light is at the heart of our school, and we are passionate about working together as a school family and wider community to ‘Create a Better Future’ for all.

Our Vision

Our vision, ‘Creating a Better Future’, stems from our Christian inspiration to invite pupils and adults to experience something of the better future God is creating by building His Kingdom on earth. This is expressed by exploring Christian values, raising aspirations and our unwavering commitment to overcoming barriers to flourishing. We follow Jesus’ example of love, nurture and care which transforms lives. Pupils and adults soar in a safe and nurturing environment, through an enriching education that enables them to flourish in body, mind and spirit.

We follow Jesus’ example of love, nurture and care which transforms lives. Pupils and adults can soar in a safe and nurturing environment, with an enriching education.

How precious is Your loving devotion, O God, that the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. (Psalm 36: 7)

Our school vision encompasses everything we do at St Mark’s CE Primary. Our strong Christian vision drives our decision making and therefore impacts positively on our children, families and our local community. The school’s vision and values are highly visible throughout the school environment, shaping the very special ethos of our school.

"The Head along with exceptional support from senior leaders, governors, staff and St Mark’s church, has established a vibrant Christian vision for the school that is lived out by all members of the school family. Exemplary pastoral care given with Christian love by the whole staff team is making a significant and positive impact on the lives of pupils and their families. Outstanding worship experiences bring the school and church families together and enable pupils and adults to grow spiritually. Exceptionally close church/school links, lead to outstanding love and care for the whole community."
