Inclusion

Inclusion at St Mark’s CE Primary School

At St Mark’s CE Primary School, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We believe every child should feel valued, supported and able to thrive, academically, socially and emotionally. Our provision is built on the understanding that all children are unique, and we work closely with families to ensure that learning experiences are accessible, personalised and meaningful. We offer strong support for children with SEND, SEMH needs, Speech, language and communication needs and those with English as an Additional Language. All learners are welcomed into a language-rich environment where visual supports, targeted vocabulary teaching and small-group interventions help them to succeed and feel confident. Through high-quality teaching, adaptive practice, nurturing relationships, and a culture of belonging, we ensure that every child, regardless of background, ability or starting point can participate fully in school life and achieve their potential.

We aim to provide as much information as possible about how our school strives to meet the needs of all children, working alongside the Wigan Local Offer, but should you have any other questions please contact Jemma Murray (Inclusion Manager) at school.

Further detail about our provision for children with additional needs can also be found in our Inclusion policy.
